Last year around Christmas time I asked my blogging friends to be in prayer with me for my father in law. He (JR) is doing well...but now...
My father David (the "D" in my name is from him) has just had a stroke or something like it. It is 7:00 EST in Florida, and my mom just called me. I do not have a whole lot of info right now, but I WOULD ASK THAT ALL OF YOU PLEASE PRAY FOR HIS HEALTH, AND THAT I MIGHT ARRIVE THERE (MARGIE AND I LIVE 2.5 HOURS AWAY) IN TIME...
AS FOR YOUR NEXT QUESTION (IS HE SAVED?), ALL I CAN SAY IS PLEASE PRAY!!!

Praise God and thank you for your prayers...the ordeal, as my mom described it, was very scary, but amazingly (Providentially) dad seems to have recovered, I talked to him on our way to the hospital, and he was fully coherent...they do think he had a stroke, but they are doing a cat scan and keeping him overnight...he was scheduled for a doctor's appointment tomorrow anyway...I am thankful that our hometown pastor and my personal mentor, Ted Ballard, arrived on the scene just as my mom was getting there...again, thank you for praying, and continue to pray that this might all redound to the glory of God as my dad comes to saving faith...
The cat scan and testing revealed that dad's blood sugar and other vitals were fine, what they believed happened was a seizure, not a stroke, but they are unaware of what may have caused it...he was able to come home at his and mom's insistence, and he will return at 8:30 am tomorrow (Friday)...again, thank you for your continued prayers...

A joy to hear from you friend, as I am continuing to pray for your loved one(s) as well...Margie and I spoke of and prayed for Cadenne last night...may His name be glorified in all we do...
Am praying that Christ be glorified, and that you, your mom and Margie be comforted. May the doctors be granted the Lord's view of this; and from there be guided by His wisdom. may your dad come to Jesus in this.

Thank you all...dad made it through the night fine, he is at home resting...they changed his medicine somewhat, and he will be seeing a neurologist Thursday...your continued prayers are appreciated, and I will update if anything significant happens...may God's grace abound to you all...
We are praying here too for Great-Papaw. We are definitely praying that this is his time to SEE God. Then he can see us in 10 days! We love you guys so much!
