Thanks for Nothing

You know what I’m thankful for? Nothing. I am absolutely thankful for nothing. Let me explain. The Jewish leaders accused Jesus before the Roman governor, Pontious Pilate. But Jesus didn’t answer them. Pilate asked Jesus why. But Jesus stayed silent. He did nothing. And I’m thankful for that. Jesus did nothing to save himself because he was doing everything to save you.

When the Devil or anyone else says you’re worth nothing, thank God that Jesus says you’re worth nothing too. And when anyone says that you’ve got nothing to be happy about, be thankful that’s true. Even when you think you have nothing to be thankful for, you can be thankful for nothing. Remember, Jesus allowed himself to go to the cross, and he did nothing to stop it. And for the love he showed you by his silence in his trials, you can truly say, “Thanks for nothing”.
