Important Videos

Back on June 22 we posted a book review for PUTTING JESUS IN HIS PLACE: THE CASE FOR THE DEITY OF CHRIST by Robert Bowman and J. Ed Komoszewski. I wanted to give you a little more insight into this upcoming release (September ’07) by linking to two short (5 minute) videos delivered by Mr. Komoszewski which will give you a sense of the material and will stand alone as equipment for you RIGHT NOW. Don’t waste any time, you really should view these, it will make a difference, and perhaps God in His providence will allow you to share some of these truths in the near future, to His glory…

Let me just say that I really am excited about this upcoming book, and these videos are worth linking to and getting people excited about also...

Leave us a comment after you have watched them, you won't regret it, and if you leave a positive comment others will want to have a look too...

I just logged on to leave you a comment about your own book - and watched the videos instead. What wonderful clips - was it a sermon - a seminar? I will look forward to putting that book on my "to do" list if it's anything like the clips! It would be lovely if the whole "message" - book, seminar, sermon - as it were - was on CD - I think I listen sometimes better than I read - and certainly time in the car commuting can be redeemed for this purpose.

Now, to the orignal message - I've grown tired of trying to resist writing in Craver's copy and therefore have ordered my own so I can write freely - which, of course, means that I'll have to read it a second time!

Pg 72" So often we think we are bearing the ruit of the Spirit....we are the same on the inside, only subtler in our deceit." OUCH - and again OUCH. I clearly have been "out of patience" with God over some recent situations He allowed.

First off, thanks Susan for reading, commenting on, and yes being challenged by, my book...

Second, thank you very much for viewing the videos, they really are good stuff...

Brother Ed will, I'm sure, come by to see the comments, and your ideas will be of interest and benefit to him, so again, thanks...

Thanks so much for posting links to these video clips, J. D.!

Rob and I are indeed brainstorming ways to make the core of our message accessible in other mediums. If sufficient interest exists, we may be teaching a real-time, interactive, online theology class next winter as part of The Theology Program at Reclaiming the Mind Ministries. Of course, we will also be conducting live seminars based on the book, and we plan to get some professional recordings that we can turn into DVDs, video podcasts, etc. If the book does well in the coming months, it's possible that we'll produce some sort of video-based curriculum for small groups, Sunday School classes, etc., in conjunction with our publisher. But the book will need to take off first!

I'd love to hear other peoples' ideas for additional resources that we could develop. For example, do people think that a Rose Publishing pamphlet, hitting the highlights of the book in encapsulated form, would be helpful for people who want to regularly study the most essential material and commit it to memory? Would pastors and teachers welcome free, professionally-designed PowerPoint slides for use in churches and classrooms? What about a free, downloadable study guide for immediate use with the book?

We think that the subject of our book is immensely important, and we want to do whatever we can to help equip Christians to understand and articulate the glorious deity of our Lord.

I find it hard to know what to comment, beyond the typical wow, incredable and so on.

This "Truth" has cause me to re-think everthing I thought I know about God. Who He is, who I am and how I look at the world and sin, though I can't help but feel that there is so much more to understand just in this portion of the Truth.
Praise be to God and His Truth.

That would be excellent, IMO...

As well, something like the "H-A-N-D-S in a handy form" would be something I would purchase and give to every member of our congregation, and to all our visitors...

My wife Margie watched the videos and thought they were very good...

I'm sure glad to hear that some people find my excited ramblings helpful! I still often wonder why I'm doing this rather than someone else more qualified, but I grew tired of waiting for someone to produce a widely-accessible, academically-sound book on Christ's deity and to start doing popular seminars devoted solely to the subject. God sure has a great sense of humor!

J. D., have you seen Zondervan's "Get an A+" study guides? They condense the highlights of an entire book (like Gundry's Survey of the New Testament) onto the front and back of a single, laminated sheet. They throw in some color and a few images, and the result is an easy-to-look-at, portable tool for review. Perhaps something like that would be even better than a Rose Publishing pamphlet. That may even be the kind of thing that we could design and distribute ourselves through our website. I'll bring this up with Rob and our publisher.

It is incredible that God can use regular ordinary people to fulfill the most extraordinary accomplishments for the kingdom. Reminds us to stay humble. I couldn't get enough of the sermon. J.D. can you do your short sermons on God tube?

short sermons??? :P

Short bits of sermons, I would imagine....don't know if God Tube has the bandwidth to handle what we call "bonus minutes" (over an hour or so, which is often) in our church...
