Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance:
(2 Corinthians 7:9)
(2 Corinthians 7:9)
As a preacher, I want what God wants for you. I am not trying to get you to feel guilty; I am trying to get you to be godly. I want you to think about something, but then also to act on it. I don’t want you to feel guilty unless you get godly. The difference between feeling guilty and being godly is the difference between remorse and repentance. Not just feeling sorry and crying, but being sure and changing.

Do something with this message...this one thought can change your entire life...
If acted upon, that is...
Yet another verse to use in defense of not saying "I'm sorry" when you should be asking for forgiveness. I hope that makes sense.
So right.
“I’m sorry.” Sorry for what? Sorry that I got busted? Sorry that I have to face the consequences? No. I am sorry that I have offended God, and therefore, I humbly submit to whatever it takes to turn around (repent), ask for forgiveness, make restitution, and accept the consequences without complaining.
It’s not easy, but it is good.
