Have you ever wondered just who you are? Well, Ephesians
1:1 says that if you are a Christian, then you are a saint. That is what God
says, regardless of what others say. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says that you are the
righteousness of God in Christ. Yes, you can live more or less righteously, but
your standing with God is not based on you, it is based on him.
You are a saint because God says so, because he has set you apart, forgiven your sins, adopted you into his family, given you the Holy Spirit. You are a saint. You are significant. You matter to God. 1 Peter 2:9 and Revelation 1:6 say you are part of a royal priesthood. 1 Corinthians 12:14-24 and Ephesians 4:16 teach that everyone counts in the Kingdom of God.
And it means that you are significant in the eyes of the most significant person in the universe. If you’re a Christian, that’s who you are.
